Everyone loves gourds! They have been grown for utilitarian and decorative purposes for centuries. In this class we're going to have some fun decorating pre cut gourd bowls with color and beads and then twining and weaving a decorative top. Students will learn how to locate the holes for weaving, stringing beads, determining a pattern and coloring it with markers, and twining the top with seagrass cordage and a variety of items of interest. No two projects will be the same.
All materials are included for a finished project. Additional project packets will be available to purchase if you'd like to make more at home.
